Remodel: End of Day 20

One word for today: INSULATION!

Actually, we had an inspection (it passed) and a tiny bit of siding put on (not even enough for pictures from the ground). Once the framing passed, the insulating began.
The room feels so different with the insulation in! First of all, it's unbelievably warm. Secondly, there's no more echoing. Finally, it just seems like the rooms are smaller! In that last picture above, there's a "wall" between the bathroom and the storage area. The bathroom is actually quite roomy (bigger than our others), but it's just a strange feeling without just studs!

Oh, and we made a switch on the floor tiles. Our contractor had mentioned seeing black marble tiles on clearance at Home Depot, but by the time we got there, they were gone! However, I then got it in my head that black marble would be PERFECT (we want to bring in the black, but the white in the marble would pick up the white fixtures...). On a whim, I went to HOBO today and found perfect black marble tile--and all flooring was on sale for an additional 15% off!
