C's Birthday Party

C. doesn't turn twelve until the end of the month, but with construction potentially starting this week, we squeezed in her party this weekend.

The local High School will be performing "Grease--the Musical" the next two weekends, and C is not only a musical fan, but a HUGE "Grease" fan (she takes after her mom). So we did a Grease Party.

And we turned C's recently-emptied bedroom into a "diner":

The girls arrived:

They feasted on burgers (including veggie burgers), fries, onion rings, shakes, root beer floats, and cherry cokes.

Then they watched the first half of the movie Grease:

Then we did cake:

C opened presents. Here's the group hug thank-you:


Then they watched the end of the movie:and did some sock-hoppin' upstairs.

I think it was a great success and it was wonderful to have eleven girls all dressed up in 50's attire!
