Intricate Stag Bag

Here's what I've been working on today:

And if you don't recognize it, it's because you haven't subscribed to the free eZine, knittingdaily!

(OK, if you don't recognize it, maybe it's because knittingdaily shows it in the much-nicer shades of brown and cream, but I'm on a yarn diet, so I had to make due with what I had!)

(Hopefully) the hardest part is done.

It feels nice to be knitting something of substance again!

Oh wow, it looks amazing and I really like the colours you've chosen.

Oh, you are so fast. I have plans for this and Christmas. What size yarn did you use? Watching you do the borders will be educational -- I have some nervousness about it. But it's such a perfect gift item!

Way to go!

I'm a relatively confident knitter who's never done colorwork before - do you think any part of the pattern would be unclear for a beginning color person? I love the pattern so much, but for the first time in my knitting life I am intimidated!
